The Equity Research Division represents the bottom-up component of our investment approach. Our members screen and analyze equities on a regular basis individually or in small teams.
They build financial models, draft equity research reports and pitch stocks in a competitive manner throughout the semester and at our Final Pitching Session.

Vladimir Trofimov
Head
1.5 Years with WUTIS
Vladimir is currently pursuing his B.Sc. in Business, Economics and Social Sciences at WU Vienna. Alongside his studies, he works as an Equity Analyst at a major single-family office in Vienna and has previously gained experience at a tech-focused M&A boutique.
Maximilian Rieberer

Maximilian is currently pursuing his B.Sc. in Business, Economics and Social Sciences at WU Vienna. Alongside his studies, he gained experience in asset management at Lansdowne Partners and is currently working as an Analyst at a Vienna-based M&A boutique
Julian Gibbert

Julian joined WUTIS parallel with the start of his Master degree in Finance & Accounting at WU.
He has gathered work experience throughout different roles in Corporate Finance and Investment Management, last at Kepler Cheuvreux in their institutional Equity Research devision.
Sam Kearney

Sam is currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Business and Economics at WU Vienna. Alongside his studies, he has completed several internships in finance, most recently in M&A at Oaklins.
Markus Liebl
Senior Associate

Markus is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Finance & Accounting at WU. He has gained experience in management consulting and is set to further expand his expertise through an upcoming internship in M&A and Deal Advisory, as well as a Summer Analyst role with Goldman Sachs’ GRI Equity Research team in London.
Bohdan Kovalko

Bohdan is completing his B.Sc. in Business Administration at WU Vienna, specializing in Finance and International Accounting. Alongside his studies, he has gained professional experience in Audit at Ernst & Young and is currently working as an Investment Banking Intern at Clairfield International.
